#Me Too: MJ Akbar Resigns As The Minister Of State For External Affairs,
The most talked controversy of the fortnight, #Me Too, has the latest update. The accused Union Minister has resigned from the office. Denying for all the accusations, he stated seeking justice.
MJ Akbar has served as the Minister Of State For External Affairs. The former Union Minister is been accused by multiple sexual harassment allegations.
According to him all these allegations on him is totally baseless and he denies from this. Along with this, he started to compete with these false allegations legally.
The Minister has shared his statement via his social media twitter handle. In the letter, he stated that “Since I have decided to seek justice in a court of law in my personal capacity. I deem it appropriate to step down from office and challenge false accusation levied against me, also in a personal capacity”.
Further, in the letter, he had thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Mister, Smt. Sushma Swaraj for giving him the opportunity to serve the country.

Resigning from the post is the step to challenging the accusations on him, Former Union Minister MJ Akbar stated.

The controversial personality Priya Ramani also tweeted after MJ Akbar’s resignation confirmation. According to her, “As a woman, we fell vindicated by MJ Akbar’s resignation. I look forward to the day when I will also get justice in court”.

Now the private criminal defamation case is likely to come up for e hearing on October 18 before the Additional Cheif Metropolitan Magistrate Samar Vishal, said the Lawyer Sandeep Kapur (Akbar’s lawyer).
