Supreme Court Verdict On Firecrackers, “Priority Is For Public Health” Stated SC

The Supreme Court, India has pronounced its verdict on the burning of firecrackers, pollution affecting Delhi’s environment ad much more.
Along with this, it has separated from imposing a total ban on the firecrackers. As the Diwali festive season is coming up, there was a need total and gather for the issue. Impacted from the last year’s verdict, there is something changed this year.
The Supreme Court bench comprises, Justice A.K Sikri and Justice Ashok Bhushan acknowledged a 54-page judgement. According to the Supreme Court, “When the court is called upon to protect the right to life, the economic effect of a particular measure for the protection of such right to health will have to give way to this fundamental right”.
Where on a side SC favours the health of the state o the same hand it also acknowledged that the industry of firecrackers has a significant role in the employment as well as in the revenue sector. Where it gave employment to 5 lakh families it also generates the income of around Rs 6,000 crore per year.
SC VERDICT LIMITED THE FIRECRACKING TIME FROM 8 PM TO 10 PM
Hence, making a big verdict on the firecrackers industry and controlling the pollution in the country, the SC limited the time for cracker firings. On Tuesday verdict SC imposing major controls on rising pollution, it limited with 8 pm to 10 pm (IST), for cracker firing.
SC also limited the manufacture and sale of the fireworks, making the permissible level of smoke and noise. Along with this, it also restricted the Amazon, Flipkart and another e-commerce website from the emission of firecrackers and forced them to sell it out in limited stock.
